AMI - Alternative Method of Instruction
If the district uses an alternative method of instruction (AMI) day when snow days are called, your student can complete assignments from home and turn them in so that we do not have to count them absent on snow days. Our plan at LMS is for teachers to post assignments online (google classroom or other methods that students already use) for students to complete from home. Teachers will be available to help students online or through email if there is a question. If you do not have internet access from home, students will be given paper copies of the work and will have one week after the snow day to turn in the work to each teacher. If we have advance warning the paper packets will go home prior to the snow day, and if not, the day students return.
