**WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
**Based on Common Core standards, 6th graders are expected to know how to do two-digit by two-digit multiplication (Example: 54 x 23). This is one of the first concepts that we will work on this school year as it will serve as the basis for a lot of the questions and activities that we will be doing in class. Basic math fact review might be helpful if you are struggling with this concept. There will be several tools on this page to help you become better at multiplication. As the year progresses, we will move into more complicated multiplication problems that involve larger numbers and sometimes have more than two digits. You will have many opportunities to practice your multiplication skills at home as well as in class.
